WISCONSIN PEONY SOCIETIES 1st ANNUAL FALL TREE PEONY & PEONY ROOT AUCTION ____________________________________________________

The Wisconsin Peony Society, WPS, will hold a Fall Root Auction at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison West Madison Agricultural Research Station, 8501 Mineral Point Road in Verona.

The event is open to the public, and people interested in joining the organization are also welcome to attend wps business meeting which starts at 12:30 P.M.  

AT 1:00 P.M. THERE WILL BE A DEMONSTRATION ON HOW TO DIVIDE A PEONY WHICH WILL BE FOLLOWED BY THE AUCTION. 

Peony divisions, potted peonies and potted tree peonies will be auctioned off as a fund-raiser for the Wisconsin Peony Society.

In addition, information on the 2010 American Peony Societies National convention, which will be held June 4-6, 2010 at the Rotary Botanical Gardens in Janesville, Wis., will be available.

The Wisconsin Peony Society is a non-profit organization that formed earlier this year to Promote, foster and generate interest in the cultivation and use of all peonies and to assist with the sharing of information pertaining to all peonies.
